After growing up in Port Huron, Michigan, and graduating from Michigan State University with her bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, April began her career in mortgage lending in 2003. April initially planned to join her husband, Mark Bynum’s mortgage lending branch as an temporary administration assistant in 2003, until she gained a new passion and interest in the mortgage industry and soon became a licensed loan officer. After becoming a loan officer, April’s dedication was quickly made visible to her clients, professional connections, and coworkers as she is a distinguished President’s Club Loan Officer and a consecutive Top MSHDA Producer.
In her role as a mortgage loan officer, April has found fulfillment in assisting countless individuals and families achieve their dreams of homeownership. April’s dedication to her customers throughout the homebuying process shines through on her favorite day as an loan officer, CLOSING DAY!
Beyond her career, April is also married to Mark Bynum, who is also a Union Home Mortgage Loan Officer! Together, April & Mark have three wonderful children: Gabby, April’s stepdaughter, Luca, & Eloise! Family is the cornerstone of her life and she actively supports her children’s passions, from Luca’s love for hockey, golf, and tennis to Eloise’s passion for softball and volleyball. When April and her family aren’t busy with the children’s active life, they will escape to their vacation home in Fort Meyers or their cozy cottage in Glennie, Michigan!
