As a lifelong resident of Marion, Ohio, Scott Lill attended Pleasant High School and graduated from Hocking College before spending 11 years working in law enforcement. Six years as a realtor made Scott Lill incredibly intrigued in the mortgage side of the business, so when he had the opportunity to join his team, he couldn’t pass it up! Over the past few years, he has grown to love meeting new families and helping them acquire their dream homes when no one else can.
Scott is also an active member in his community, taking time to help Marion Matters teach financial education and other mortgage- and real estate-related classes.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys woodworking, working out and playing golf. He also likes to go to parks to hike with his wife Jessica, their son Silas, and their rescue pitbull Luci. (Their grumpy cat Magoo prefers to stay at home.) They’ll soon be joined by baby Sammy!

I secured a preapproval loan through my bank's mortgage broker but after asking a few questions and not getting replies back, I decided to look elsewhere. I contacted Scott Lill through Union Home Mortgage and he guided me through the entire process beginning with securing a preapproval for a good bit more than my bank's amount which really opened up a lot more possibilities for me. Once I found my perfect property and got an accepted contract, Scott started the loan process immediately making sure I was comfortable with the initial financing numbers before proceeding. Next steps were primarily fulfilled using their handy online portal to submit and review documents, upload completed tasks, etc. If there was an inspection that was needed or any clarification about something that was done, Scott and/or a member of his team was in quick contact with me to make sure I knew how to proceed. I would highly recommend Scott Lill and the Union Mortgage Team for one's mortgage needs by the positive experience I had. I definitely felt like I had a company that took my needs seriously in a very professional, timely and caring way. Thanks again for help making one of my biggest dreams come true!

They were also very easy to get ahold of, even if they didn’t answer right away, I always got a response within a few hours.
