Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sandy Whitehead’s love for community is at the heart of her business. After attending Louisiana State University, she quickly cultivated her knowledge in the banking and mortgage industry, and even owned a broker shop before becoming a part of the Union Home Mortgage family. Sandy’s 32 years of industry expertise and commitment to UHM’s partner-like culture are what make her and anyone she works with successful.
Sandy’s passion and heart are most clearly seen in her community involvement. She currently holds the position of President for Louisiana Mortgage Lenders, Greater Baton Rouge Mortgage Lenders Association and Baton Rouge Board of Realtors. She’s also involved with Cancer Services of Louisiana, Life of a Single Mom, McMains Children Developmental Center and Catholic Daughters.
When she’s not serving her community, Sandy enjoys going for walks with her husband of 33 years, Mark, and their dog, Bear. She also loves spending time with her daughter Devin, son-in-law Andrew and her granddaughter, Della.
